Perry Farrell Opens Doors

Posted August 31, 2006 - By F M

The debut album by Perry Farrell’s new band Satellite Party will feature a lost Jim Morrison vocal.

The Doors frontman can be heard on the song "Woman in the Window" which features an original poem he wrote that Farrell unearthed and composed accompanying music to. After a short musical intro, Morrison can be heard saying, "I am the woman in the window." Later he sings, “"Just try and stop us, we're going to love."

"I want this to be on the radio," says Farrell.

If it does become a hit, it will certainly be the first time anyone has heard a new Farrell song on the radio since “Jane Says,” which was a looooong time ago!

Satellite Party’s debut album is due out early next year.
