Seemingly-full-of-integrity rapper Common has been hired to appear in the new Gap ad campaign, thereby thrusting his credibility into question.
The Chicago MC will join fellow celebrities Jeremy Piven, Mia Farrow, Aaron Eckhart, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Eva Herzigova, Lou Doillon, Paula Patton, Kristen Stewart, Brice Marden, Yvonne Force, and Natasha Bedingfield for the store's “T-Shirt Shop” series of ads.
The campaign focuses on the Gap's new line of t-shirts via a black and white print ads shot by acclaimed photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin that feature celebs wearing their favorite Gap t-shirt in a way that expresses their individual style, personality and energy.
The message “Long Live Individuality” is featured below the photo. It should be followed by “…Death To Credibility.”
