Controversial director Uwe Boll's grand scheme to box his internet critics is taking shape.
The creator of the film adaptations of BloodRayne, Dungeon Seige, Alone in the Dark and the upcoming Postal was so irked by the constant drumbeats of his internet critics that he offered to settle their artistic differences with fists instead of words.
Gambling site Golden Palace is sponsoring the first four "Raging Boll" matches to be held at the end of September in Vancouver.
Boll's opponent for the first match will be Carlos Palencia Jimenez-Arguello, webmaster of Cinecutre.
Boll will also battle Something Awful webmaster Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka, Ain't It Cool News writer Jeff Sneider, horror magazine Rue Morgue writer Chris Alexander, and a fifth opponent yet to be named.
If anyone wants to make a friendly wager on the matches, I'll put everything I have on Uwe handing the internet guys their asses: People who complain about movies on the internet are generally wusses. In fact, I'll even take action that at least half of these matchesdon't happen because the internet dudes back out.
I've met Uwe Boll, and no matter how you feel about his movies, he's angry and he seems dangerous.
By the way, this whole thing is off-the-chain crazy.
