The writers of the upcoming Transformers film, opening next July and directed by Michael Bay, have released the names of the robots that will be appearing in the film. This is big news, and according to Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the writers, there are several Autobots and Decepticons for you to chew over.
And here they are.
On the Autobot side, in addition to Optimus Prime, there will be Bumblebee, Jazz, Ratchet, and Ironhide. Optimus Prime, as announced previously, will be played by the man who originally voiced the character for the television series.
Decepticons will include Megatron, Starscream, Brawl, Bonecrusher, Barricade, Scorponok, Frenzy, and Blackout. And, while these might sound like luche libre charaters to some of you, I know that the big time Transformers fans in our midst will find this to be amazingly cool news.
