Jay-Z is being sued by interior designer Ilan Waisbod over the décor designs for a new 40/40 Club.
Hova owns the club 40/40 Club and hired Waisbod to design the interior of the Atlantic City location, which included with flat-screen televisions, hanging chairs and a Lucite safe to guard the Cognac and other highly-priced spirits. He is accusing Jay of re-using his designs for clubs he’s opening in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Singapore, which is a violation of the club's agreement with Waisbod's design firm, Studio Gaia.
Wait a second. TVs, chairs and a safe in a nightclub are original ideas? I sure hope Waisbod has more than that to base his case on!
In related news, actress/model Jaime King will be the new face of Jay-Z’s Rocawear clothing line, alongside supermodel Naomi Campbell.
