Rockstar Games is having a good couple of months. The whole flap over the "Hot Coffee" mod has been largely settled, Table Tennis is getting excellent reviews, and now, a judge has dismissed a copyright case filed by a Los Angeles strip club.
The owners of the real life Play Pen club felt that East Los Santos' Pig Pen club had a similar sign, design and awning to their flesh and blood club, and brought suit.
But Judge Margaret Morrow ruled today that, "Defendants' use of the Play Pen trade dress and trademark bears some artistic relevance to the game, and does not explicitly mislead consumers as to the source or content of the game."
