Slayer Offends Christians…Again

Posted August 2, 2006 - By F M

The city of Fullerton, California has demanded that the bus benches with the artwork for the new Slayer album be stripped of the image.

Seventeen benches in the city feature the Christ Illusion promotional art, which depicts the band’s name, the antichrist, a skull, and the numbers 666, but on Monday city officials called the band’s label, American, and demanded that they remove the image because they did not like the name of the band, which they feel refers to a murderer.

Christ Illusion is Slayer’s first new studio album since 2001 and will be released on August 8.

Lighten up, people! C’mon, it’s Slayer. These guys have been offensive for so long, it’s almost old hat. Just ignore them and they’ll go away until the next album…
