If you're going to San Diego's Comic-con, make sure you wear flower in your hair...and visit Nintendo.
The ubiquitous Japanese videogame company announced today they will be on-hand at the annual gathering of the geek-tribes to hawk their DS Lites with playable versions of Elite Beat Agents, Mario Hoops 3 on 3, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and Star Fox Command.
I will be staying far away from the Nintendo booth at the San Diego convention center, as the mention of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon calls up uncomfortable images of Jiggly-Puff in a gimp mask and leg-cuffs, but you should stop by. And if you do, Nintendo suggests, via their press release, that you "dress as your favorite Nintendo character to increase your chances of winning swag.”
Also, Mario voice actor Charles Martinet will be on hand to sign autographs and denigrate Italian Americans through the adorable, socially acceptable racism we've come to expect from Mario. "That's-a-me!"
