Baby Shower Bloodshed—Coming Summer 2006

FADE IN

EXT. BACKYARD—DAY

An adorable mother-to-be, surrounded by supportive friends and family, opens gifts at her baby shower. She gently pats her dome shaped bell, glowing with the radiant light of a life giver. Soon, a new generation will spring forth from her loins, filled with promise for a better future.


For today, however, it’s cake and flowers, laughter and lollypops. Sunshine and jolly voices drape a warm security blanket around the party goers. All is well with the world.

A chipper, bright eyed girl of five, comes bounding into the center of the circle. Curls swathe her round red cheeks and her tiny pink fingers wrap around an ice cold beer.

EXT. BACKYARD—DAY—CONTINUOUS

In slow motion, the entire family stops their carousing and turns to focus on the child holding the beer. . .


I don’t want to give away ending, but I will tell you the pregnant chick gets beaten with a stick.
