If you're a Prison Break fan, you're going to just have to go back and watch old episodes via TiVo or something, because it's going away for a little while. Following the Fall season finale, the Break will be off air until January. I know. A crushing blow. What will you do with your life?

Julian, Ricky and Bubbles from the Canadian comedy TV show Trailer Park Boys joined Guns N' Roses onstage Monday night in Halifax, Canada.
On the show, Bubbles sometimes plays a song called “Liquor and Whores” and joined Axl and the band for a rousing rendition of it for the elated crowd.
"We're not too far from our own trailer park," Rose said after the track was performed. "I think that's going to become a staple of our set. We're going to have to play those guys some royalties."

Famed rock video chick and b-movie actress Tawny Kitaen (Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again: video, Bachelor Party) was charged with felony drug possession this week after sheriff's deputies found 15 grams of cocaine in her apartment. She faces up to three years in prison if convicted.
The 45-year-old actress will be arraigned Dec. 18 at Harbor Justice Center in Laguna Niguel
Deputies were responding to a request for a welfare check and found the blow in Kitaen's San Juan Capistrano apartment, police say.
Deputies were responding to a welfare check? Um, why would they do that?

Blue bassist Alex James recently said in an interview that the band wanted to make one more album with former guitarist Graham Coxon, who left the group three years ago. Coxon, in turn, has admitted he would consider playing with guys again.
"I haven't been approached about it. I think about it,” Coxon commented. “Would it be fun? Would it be a bit too scary? What would the dynamic be in a studio? Would I have to do promotion? Would I tour? You know, it's a lot of thinking.
Coxon says he has barely any contact with former bandmates Damon Albarn (also in Gorillaz) and Dave Rowntree, although he does remain close to James.

HBO is considering starting a broadband channel to serve out content from the network. This means you'll be able to see episodes of The Sopranos and Entourage online, as well as whatever new shows they're working on. This is great news, as HBO makes the best TV on TV.
The channel will apparently only be available to subscribers of the pay channel, so there will most likely be some sort of login involved for those people. But, these days, who doesn't have HBO?

Both events will take place at the usual spot, the Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA. seven times before.
Thus far, line-up for the as-yet-to-be-named country festival includes George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Sugarland, Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Sparrow Quarter featuring Bela Fleck, Emmylou Harris and Nickel Creek, among others. The artists will perform in four distinct performance areas including the main stage, an alt-country stage, a bluegrass stage and a storytelling area with Garrison Keillor, Red Steagall (the 2006 Texas Poet Laureate) and others.
George Strait and Kenny Chesney? Er…this ain’t sounding very alternative, is it?

Iggy Pop’s influential proto-punk band The Stooges have finished their first new album in over 30 years.
They cut the album with Steve Albini (Nirvana) in Chicago this year and it features 16 new songs, including titles like "The Weirdness," "You Can't Have Friends," "ATM," and "Trollin'," reports Billboard. The effort will be will be mixed in London next month and is scheduled for release through Virgin in March 2007.
"The one thing that kind of amazes me is that it sounds like us. But it doesn't sound quite like Fun House, Raw Power, or our first one,” said Iggy. “You put it on, and right away, you'd know, well, that's them. There they go."

CBS might have just figured out how to monetize the entire YouTube revolution. You see, the world's oldest network has a lot of clips online at the 'Tube, and those clips seem to be revitalizing the ratings the corresponding shows see on the air. That's not just good news for CBS, it's great news for Google and YouTube.
Why?
Until now, no one has been able to figure out how the merger will make its money back. With YouTube driving traffic to the air, advertisers will not only recognize and pony up money for on-air commericals, but the nets will pay YouTube to broadcast their clippage.

NERDS!
The $12 million Revenge of the Nerds remake, which was two weeks into shooting before officials in Alaska, where it was on location, objected to the content and forced it to shut down, has now officially been cancelled. Yes, the content of the film was apparently so objectionable that it was time to cut bait on the project and let it go into the darkness for good.
Now, I'm not sure it was a good idea to begin with, but now that I know this information, I'd be most interested in seeing which things in it were so unconscionable.

Thanksgiving has come a day early for the entertainment starved among us. Microsoft has launched their anticipated movie and TV show download service for 360 users.
M'Soft is serving up a full platter of films and shows, everything from the equivalent of delicious, buttery turkey (The Shining) to those weird-colored yams that no one wants, but you have to take a little of because your aunt made them and she's pretty old (Rat Race).
In all honesty, I'm pretty stoked at the list, especially the movies. What a launch slate! Filled to overflowing with both awesome current movies V for Vendetta and super classics like Rosemary's Baby, and Chinatown, personal all-time-best-flicks. If it's light on anything, it's light on more current flicks, which is probably more about economics than anything. Those movies are expensive, I'm sure, where something like Clash of the Titans probably isn't. It's all too the good, though, if you're a discriminating movie hound and don't care if your flicks are a little musty.

The large print giveth and the small print taketh away. Yesterday, I posted the latest trailer for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. I think you will agree it is awesome. Problem is, if you want to play the game on anything other than a 360, you're SOL.
While the Xbox version has hit the shelves, the PS3, PSP, and PC versions of the game are not coming out for a bit. Look for the PC version on December 12, and the PSP and PS3 versions in January.

Gears of War is a very successful videogame. How successful.
One. Million. Copies.
And that in only two weeks. Officially making Gears of War the fastest-selling 360 game ever.
"More than 850,000 unique gamers have engaged in 10 million [Gears of War] gameplay sessions while unlocking an impressive 7 million achievements," Microsoft boasted. Since the game went on sale November 7, the rate of Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, which are required for online play, has increased over 50 percent.
