The biggest story in the world of videogames this week was the release of mega-awesome shooting-things-simulator Call of Duty 4.
Before it came out, the game topped GameFly's want list. Now that it's on shelves, the multi-platform game is in everyone's console, leading some industry analysts to predict it will even outsell juggernaut Halo 3!
In case you haven't seen it, here is some insane multiplayer gameplay footage, and also a trip behind the scenes!
Of course, COD 4 wasn't the only story this week by a long-shot. Click the cut for everything that went down!

The internets can't stop talking about game designer Jade Raymond, and the comments run the gamut from "She is teh hawtness!" to "Please make her stop stealing credit from less-hot game producers."

Our pals over Gaming Today posted a spirited and thoughtful defense of Jade over at their site. Why not read it? You'll be glad you did, we promise.

At 12 midnight tonight, the Hollywood writer's strike will have been going on for an entire week.
Major shows have already shut down (Most daily shows, 24, The Office) and as scripts get used up, more shows will go dark. Other than breathe a heavy sigh of relief, what will you do without current TV? We have you covered. TheFeed plans to bring you a daily dose of something to entertain you that doesn't involve current TV.
Today's Suggestion: Basketball
The game features tons of fast-paced drama, without needing writers, plus both the collegiate and professional seasons just started, so even if you've never followed the sport before, you can leap right in.
Start at NBA.com. Or ESPN.com. You'll figure it out, we promise.
