Blair Butler had the unique opportunity to spend some time as an inmate of an asylum...a scary asylum full of some of the creepiest creatures you've ever seen in your life. Watch as the Geek Out queen spends a little time getting scared at Knott's Scary Farm's Halloween Haunt, and then turns the tables on some unfortunate guests.
It's a scream. No, literally, a scream. Watch.

A documentary on the Canadian band Rush is in production, with a team of filmmakers following the band on their Snakes and Arrows tour, and interviewing contemporaries and people who have been influenced by the band, such as Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Nirvana. Yes, that's Nirvana.
We at TheFeed are huge Rush fans, and are glad that they're finally getting some of the props they deserve. Fun Rush fact: Rush are fifth in the world for most consecutive gold and/or platinum albums released. And that includes bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Also, Geddy Lee looks like a scary witch.

There will come a day when you can relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of the newest singer/songwriter while sipping on a mochachinacoolfrappalatte inside a Starbucks recently opened in your bedroom. And that day will make us weep.
Lucky for us, Starbucks is not only shoving coffee down our throats these days. They’re now developing artists and the first of those is the newly signed Hilary McRae. On November 1st, server’s everywhere will crash as users clamor to download her first song, “Consider Me Gone” which will be free thanks to Starbucks’ “Download of the Day.” The rest of the album will be available next year. </unwarranted sarcasm>
We haven’t heard “Consider Me Gone” but we’re guessing that won’t be a problem.

SanDisk has just launched their new 8GB MicroSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) for cellphones. These giant storage cards basically turn any music & video phone into an iPhone... well, except without all the touchscreen and UI brilliance.
The 8GB MicroSDHC retails for $139.99 and the M2 will run you $149.99.
To launch these products, SanDisk partnered up with Guerilla Union to bring us the "Wake Up Your Phone" Sunset Strip Block Party.
G4tv.com was on the scene.

TheFeed truly loves when we get to report good PlayStation 3 news, so this story is making us smile:
According to VGChartz, the PS3 outsold the 360 in Europe last week, and so, apparently, did the PS2 and PSP. Here are the numbers, in black and white:

TheFeed has long been on the record about Europe: It is, in all ways, better than the United States. So we can only assume that Sony's game systems will soon overtake Microsoft's in the States....or not.

Tonight, starting at 12:01, the undead are invading Halo 3 in the form of a new multiplayer game!
That's right, for 27 horror-filled hours, Infection will be a playable multiplayer game! Just pick The Living Dead Playlist and you're off.
To get you ready, here are the rules: Most players start off on a Human team, with one or more players starting off as Zombies.
The odds are stacked heavily against the Zombies at first, but when a Human is killed by a Zombie (as they inevitably are), they join the Zombie team and turn on their former teammates. There are two main variants: Save One Bullet, (less ammo, meaning eventually, the zombies will get you) and Creeping Death, where the enemies are slower, but invisible... and deadly.
The Living Dead playlist will be the first to use Forge variants in Matchmaking.

Joe Perry, seen here with Red Octane's Kai Huang, is a pretty kickass guitarist and without a doubt one of the legends of rock. That’s why it was totally sweet that he turned out to help launch Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock on Sunday at a Gamestop in New York. We were hoping he would hop up and shred, but the second best thing happened instead. He judged a face-off style tournament between players and signed a bunch of games and plastic guitars.
And let’s face it, any actual guitar legend is gonna have a huge learning curve trying to catch up to something like Guitar Hero. We’re only assuming that Mr. Perry would have been blasted by any number of armchair shredders and to see it would probably make America sad. Nonetheless, it’s pretty awesome to see legends endorsing Legends.

Myka 9 is known as one of the best freestyle rappers ever. Point blank. Most every West Coast MC we have had on freestyle fellowship cites him as one of the killers. From his early days spittin’ at The Good Life Café in downtown L.A. to his years with underground legends Freestyle Fellowship alongside Aceyalone, Self Jupiter, and Freestyle 101 alumni P.E.A.C.E., to his projects like Project Blowed and Haiku D E'Tat, the man has blessed audiences around the world with his complex wordplay, intricate flow and awesome voice.

After Apple moved to Intel-based CPUs in their computers, hackers were able to get OS X running on PCs.
It requires a good deal of knowledge, but can give you an OS X machine running on non-Apple hardware.
The guide is very in-depth and we don't recommend attempting this, but it's good to know that nerds that would previously be running Linux are now running OS X because they can.
Be sure to check back for our detailed thoughts on Leopard later this week.

The on-again, off-again Wonder Woman movie is off again. Or, it's at least on pause for now, says producer Joel Silver, who has decided to take the project offline so that Wonder Woman's first appearance on film can be in the rapidly-gaining-steam Justice League, to be directed by George Miller.
The saga of the Amazonian princess has been long-gestating, including involvement by Buffy honcho Joss Whedon, who is no longer attached to the project. Now, it looks like many years will pass before we're going to get to see a WW movie.
Sigh.

The interns check out team deathmatch in the Unreal Tournament III Beta Demo on the map "Shangrila". The more we see of this game, the more we love its oldschool approach to twitch gaming.
