SimAnimals was announced by EA today, and the delightful animal simulation program will undoubtedly thrill both future veterinarians and furries the world over.
The game was developed by EA's Sims studio and will be available for the Wii and Nintendo DS next year.
"But which animals are in the game??" I hear you asking. We're talking bears, owls, foxes and squirrels, (oh my!). The player plays a god-like hand who uproots trees and keeps furry little critters from drowning and whatnot. Also: There's mating Described in the press conference as a man and woman animal giving each other a "special hug," we were sadly unable to see the mating animal footage.
Discovery channel, watch out!

At their press conference today, EA Sports detailed an intriguing and innovative feature in their upcoming NBA Live 09 sports game.
Dynamic DNA is a way of accumulating incredibly detailed info on players on a day-to-day basis. It's about capturing the actual behavior of players and teams everyday, and altering the videogame based on it. So, daily updates on your console based on the performance of your favorite players.
The DNA will also extend to teams. So the unique chemistry of a group of players is taken into account and changes based on what happens in the actual, real life games. Not bad at all.

At their press conference today, Micrsosoft showed off a previously unannounced title, a mini-game collection called You're in the Movies. It's either really weird or really cool. We really can't decide.
The game, obviously geared toward families, kids and a Wii demographic, is from Codemakers. Here's how it works:
- Players use their LiveVision cameras to play some mini-games.
- The game automatically creates a separate mini-comedy movie using elements created during the mini-game.
- Everyone sits back, watches the flicks of themselves being asinine and has a nice laugh.
- Profit!
We don't have a release date yet for this 360 game, but we'll tell you when we do it.
