Games That Let The Terrorists Win

Posted by Stephen Johnson - Friday, July 04, 2008 9:00 AM

On this July 4th, let us not forget the enemies of our nation. No, not those yappy little dogs celebutantes carry around, I'm talking about the terrorists! Please enjoy our list of games that let the terrorists win.

True Lies: One of our favorite movie games from the Governator. The movie even portrays the government helping the main terrorist group in the movie, Crimson Jihad, by smuggling warheads in the U.S. The game wasn't actually half as bad, as it had some interesting espionage missions and shooting mechanics. Now, we just all have to get rid of that scene from Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie in our heads. You know what I'm talking about...

USA! USA! USA! Games!

Posted by Stephen Johnson - Friday, July 04, 2008 8:00 AM

Because it's July 4th, we thought we'd celebrate the birth of our nation by bringing you our favorite USA! USA! USA! Games! Enjoy, partner!

The History Channel: Civil War – A Nation Divided
Ok, we all know that any game made by the History Channel has to be bad, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be patriotic and educational! Think about how proud you will be of our nation after you fight both for AND against the abolition of slavery! Experience what it’s like to wade through trenches filled knee-deep with mud, blood, and excrement. Marvel at the state of disarray your compatriots uniforms and facial hair are in. Watch as your character spends four and a half minutes reloading his single-shot rifle right before he aims for an opposing soldier and misses, only to start the process all over again. If you like history, think first-person shooters are too fast paced, and are currently sporting a mustache like this guy, then The History Channel: Civil War – A Nation Divided is the perfect game for you to play this 4th of July while you’re home alone eating Barbeque take-out.

BONUS Epic Fail: BBQ Foods

Posted by Ty Colfax - Friday, July 04, 2008 7:02 AM

When you head out into the independence fun you've planned for yourself today, please keep in mind that BBQs are a sacred long-standing tradition in the American culture. So, before you head to the store to do your BBQ shopping this morning, take a look at our epic fail list and adjust accordingly, disregarding your normal dietary habits. You'll thank us.

PROPANE GRILLS
If you're going to barbecue, you need a real fire. And here's a news flash: Propane doesn't count. If you want a real fire, you use wood or charcoal. When I'm going to cook meat to savory perfection, I want something on fire in my pit, not some invisible gas.

Also, part of the fun at a barbecue is hanging around chatting while the fire's getting ready. All that time goes bye-bye when you cheat by using propane. So, Hank Hill and all you propane men out there: FAIL!
