For the last ten years, games have been growing increasingly similar to movies in terms of the style of storytelling. However, with Alone in the Dark, Atari is trying a new method of narrative structure - something more akin to a season of television than to a feature film.
In this week's Sessler's Soapbox, Adam explores the episodic method of game-playing employed by Atari and growing number of game developers.

There was a lot of new media for Far Cry 2 out of Ubidays today. Check out this trailer and be sure to hit the break for more videos.
The open-ended FPS will hit the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 later this year.

Today, Ubisoft unveiled the first trailer and game details for Prince of Persia.
According to the company, the video game opens an entirely new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe in addition to introducing a "fresh Illustrative art style, evolved combat system, open world structure and dynamic AI – most notably in the form of the Prince's powerful ally Elika."
Prince of Persia is scheduled to release Holiday 2008 for the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the PC, with another POP game hitting the Nintendo DS!

Konami and Kojima Productions have released a theatrical style trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4. Check it out! It even features the Movie Voice Guy!
The stealth-action game drops on June 12 for the PlayStation 3.
