Please, take a look. We promise you will like it. Ok, we can't promise that, but we think so.

Yesterday, Adam Sessler and Jack Thompson squared off on NPR's Talk of the Nation, but they didn't exactly get the chance to finish their conversation.
Well, Adam doesn't like leaving things unsettled, and he's not about to start now. So, in this Special Edition of Sessler's Soapbox, Adam addresses the concerns good ol' Jack had about the recent release, Grand Theft Auto IV.
What do you guys think? Does Jack Thompson have a leg to stand on, or is he just a crazy old man screaming insane ramblings at the towering monolith known as Reality? Check out the video and let us know what you think.

That's big news. Good going, guys!
They are responsible, along with the rest of their company, for creating Guitar Hero. They worked on GH1, GH2, and GH: Rocks the 80's before making Rock Band.

Sezmi, a new company based out of Silicon Valley, is hoping to deliver TV to consumers at half the cost of cable & satellite by using 3 different methods of distributing content.
The first is an ordinary local TV signal, which can be augmented a second system of internet downloads of content.
The third method, however, is to have local TV stations broadcast the basic cable channels on their airwaves, bypassing the cable companies and satellite providers.

When you're made of little plastic bricks and the city is in danger, there's only one thing to do: strap on a scuba mask. Well at least that's the method for Robin in the upcoming LEGO Batman video game. A brand new batch of screens have emerged today showing off the wild and wonderful versatilty of the Dark Knight's (and his red-clad sidekick by association's) power suits. Ralph Lauren is green with envy.
Hit the break to see the rest of the shots. Evil-doers beware!

Some of you mighta heard earlier this week that Vivid Video was releasing a sex tape by long-deceased guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.
But the Hendrix estate is saying the footage of Jimi romping with two groupies is a fake.
"We strongly dispute the claimed authenticity of the tape," the group said in a statement. “We view the release as nothing more than a callous attempt to trade on the image and reputation of a deceased artist who is unable to defend himself against such an outrageous and baseless assertion."

Following in the footsteps of Madonna, Jay-Z reportedly just closed a massive, all-encompassing deal with concert promoter Live Nation worth $150 million.
The deal sees the formation of Roc Nation, a joint venture between the two parties. Live Nation will take control of Hova’s business and recording assets as part of the agreement and pay the rap tycoon a cool $10 million per album as part of a three album deal.
Jay-Z is currently on a Live Nation sponsored co-headlining tour with Mary J Blige…where he is likely sipping champagne and banging Beyonce as you read this…

Goth rock vets The Cure announce this week that they will issue a new single each month on the 13th leading up to the release of their 13th studio album on September 13.
The first single from the to-be-titled album drops on May 13 and is titled “The Only One” b/w “NY Trip,” while the second one (“Freakshow” b/w “All Kinds Of Stuff”) will be out on June 13. The b-sides are exclusive to the singles and will not appear on the full-length album.
The tunes were produced by leader Robert Smith and Keith Uddin…who were likely very sad and pale when they recorded them.
The band is set to kick off an massive US tour in support of the new album on May 9.

In a delightful twist of fate, it turns out that insanely hot R&B singers use MySpace too! It’s not just us pervs!
Yes, Alicia Keys recently admitted she is using the popular social networking site to find her touring backup singers.
Keys is asking candidates ages 21 to 30 who are “physically fit and able to dance” to submit a 30-second or longer video of themselves singing by this Monday, May 5.
Go to her MySpace page for full details. Tell her TheFeed sent ya….and you’re likely to get punched in the face….

Don’t get too excited for all that unfiltered, uncensored satellite radio content you think you might be getting if XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio merge….it hasn’t happened yet.
It turns out that key congressional Democrats are urging the Federal Communications Commission to impose limits on the merger designed to “protect” consumers. Most of their points have to do with pricing and equipment, and thankfully not content regulation…yet.
Though they insist they're not taking a position on whether the FCC should allow the merger to happen, per say, in a letter on Thursday, Reps. John Dingell (D-Mich.) and Edward Markey (D-Mass.) said regulators should consider certain steps as they weigh whether the union of the only two U.S. satellite radio operators satisfies the "public interest." Dingell and Markey are the chairmen of two House of Representatives panels that oversee the FCC.

Legendary Detroit shock-rappers Insane Clown Posse will be co-starring in Death Racers, a parody of the ‘70s sci-fi classic Death Race 2000.
...actually it’s a really a parody of the upcoming Paul W.S. Anderson (AVP: Alien vs. Predator) remake of Death Race 2000 starring Jason Statham called Death Race.
Confused yet?
Produced by The Asylum, and to be directed by Roy Knyrim (Demons at the Door, Cemetery Gates), Death Racers is described as “a grim vision of the future where brutality is a virtue and mercy will cost you your life [and] contestants participate in a cross-country death race where killing is how you win the game."

The Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV is outselling the PS3 version at retail by a margin of two-to-one!
...or so says Aaron Greenberg, director of product management for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, who told the site this during an interview Thursday. He also said that roughly 1 million GTA IV users went online with the game on Xbox Live, 2 million GTA IV achievements were unlocked in the first 24 hours, and over 15 million Gamerscore points were added to users' accounts in the first day.
But a Sony rep questioned Greenberg’s claims, saying that Microsoft's two-to-one ratio "doesn't line up" with what they has been hearing from its retailers.
Yet over in the UK, the Xbox 360 version outsold the PS3 version in day-one sales 335,000 to 274,000, respectively, according to Chart Track.
So just how much impact is GTA having on sales of Xbox 360 and PS3 then?

Hulk Hogan hasn't had a very good run of luck lately, so he's bringing it back to where it all began...the wrestling ring. However, this time, The Hulkster isn't going to be putting on the tights and jumping into the squared circle, oh no, he's going to be hosting a show called Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling on CMT.
Each week, two celebrities will be trained by pro wrestling superstars, and then will wrestle a program in the ring. They will then be judged by Hogan and former WCW President Eric Bischoff as to who did the best. We are hoping that "celebrities" aren't of the D-list variety, but we're pretty sure we're going to be looking at Dustin Diamond vs. Danny Bonaduce, or some such.

What's Superman without Lex Luthor? Well, fans of Smallville are certainly going to find out soon enough, as Michael Rosenbaum, Lex Luthor on the show, is leaving. Fear not, or fear more, however, as he will be replaced by not one, but two villains. One will be the legendary Doomsday, who plays very heavily into The Death of Superman storyline in the comics, and the other will be an unnamed female villain.
Now, we can't speculate as to who that could be, but, seriously, Lex Luthor is really the Man of Steel's only worthwhile nemesis. Yes, we like Mr. Mxyztplk as much as any other blog with an opinion about Superman's nemeses, but let's be real about it. Only Lex can generate that kind of heat, which is why the Superman movies keep going back to him. Still, time will tell.

How much impact does Rock Band have on music sales?
Well, since the game's November release the game has sold over 10 million songs via Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Networks.
Yup, during Viacom's quarterly presentation, released today, the company released this impressive figure as well as confirming that it has shipped "more than 3 million bundled units" to date.
Damn!
In fact, Rock Band's performance helped raise Viacom's overall Q1 (January-March) income 29 percent year-on-year to $567 million. Revenues were up 15 percent to $3.1 billion.

Rarely have we ever been as excited by an announcement as this: CBS is airing a show called Greatest American Dog, which will put 12 dogs in competition with each other to determine which dog is best. This is a wonderment, well and truly, and will be hosted by Jarod Miller, of Animal Planet's PetFinder.
You might think this is a big joke, but I have a friend who is the post production coordinator on Greatest American Dog, and his life has been shrouded in secrecy over the past couple of months, as the events and results of this show are to be kept iron-clad, vaulted, secret. So, to you, it might be funny, but to CBS, Greatest American Dog is serious as a heart attack. The show will premiere July 10th.

Transformers 2 is already up and running, and will begin shooting this summer, and it just got an added shot in the arm, or at least some eye candy, from the casting of Teresa Palmer, a lovely young blonde who was previously cast in the dead Justice League movie.
While Palmer hasn't necessarily been in a lot of movies you've heard of, like The Grudge 2, she certainly has a lot of buzz going her way, and she's a genuinely gorgeous young lady. Mix that with the constant rumble of a'spolsions that are likely to dot the Transformers 2 landscape, and you won't care if she can act or not.

First of all, let me get this out of the way . IRON MAN IS F-ING AWESOME!!!! Phew, that felt good. I got to see it earlier in the week and I've written a feature length, in-depth, full review of the film that will be posted here on TheFeed at 8am on Saturday morning. So there's that, please enjoy it.
But moving on, the big (and not so surprising) news this week is that if Iron Man takes in the projected $70 - $110 million opening weekend box, Iron Man 2 will be out this same week in 2010. Not only that, but Robert Downey Jr.'s personal trainer said he can have Mr. Stark back in shape and ready to wear the suit in 5 months. 5 months? How much weight has he put on for Tropic Thunder? Anyway, the sequel would start shooting in the begining of 2009 and start off the summer movie season with a release of early May 2010. Oh who are we kidding, this is almost certainly going to happen. Superhero movies make big money, and this is the best one I've seen...pretty much ever, so go see it and make sure we get another great movie from Marvel and Mr. Favereau.
