Revisiting Three Things That Suck

Knee-jerk reactions to popular culture are a dangerous thing, especially when it comes to expectations: For example, there was no way Star Wars: The Phantom Menace was going to be beloved, because fans' expectations were impossibly high. How could one movie satisfy 20 years of hype? 

On the other hand, some things everyone thought sucked, when revisited, were actually not as bad as they first appeared. Ishtar is a really funny movie. U2's Zooropa is a decent album, overshadowed by the commercial success of Achtung Baby, and forced into a cultural corner.

And so it is with the world of gaming and tech.  I'm not going to tell you that the Atari 2600 version of E.T: The Game is anything but crap, because it is, but there are lots of other things that seemed completely awful when they were in their prime, but over the course of time to have proved been pretty worthwhile, maybe even pretty great.  Please reconsider the following trio of loathed things from the world of technology.
