Napster Raises Price...Zzzzzzzzzz

Once controversial and now irrelevant music subscription service Napster announced this week it is raising its monthly fees by 30% from $10 a month to $13 a month.
According to an e-mail sent to subscribers, the non-portable subscription service price change, its first in four years, kicks in January 30.
But, of course, this is 2008 and not 1999, so I can’t fathom you care…

2007: The Year Gaming Broke

Now that the slog through the last 12 months is over, TheFeed is in a reflective mood, so we're asking the question that's on every gamer's lips: Was 2007 the best year in the history of videogames?
We asked X-Play host Adam Sessler, who responded enthusiastically in the affirmative. "Definitely," Sessler said, "Unless there was some year in the '90s, when I wasn't really paying attention that was better. But I seriously doubt it. With three consoles competing, and the technology as advanced as it is, gamers are having the best year in the history of videogames."
In other words, like Nirvana bringing punk to mainstream in the 1990s, 2007 is the year videogames broke. Here's why:

Digital Sales Record Shattered

Florida remains No. 1 this week on the Billboard Hot 100, with the 470,000 digital sales of the hit single “Low” setting a single-week record, smashing the former title-holder Fergie's “Fergalicious” record of 294,000.
Yes, the sunshine state even knocked Alicia Keys' "No One" from the top spot last week to take the top spot.
What’s amazing is that an entire state could band together and record a single that…wait, what? It’s a rapper named Flo Rida? Not the people that make my orange juice and built the wonderous Epcot Center?
Oh, this is wack!
Boy, do I have egg on my face….actually I could use a glass of OJ now that ya mention it….
