Nintendo might have invented console-to-handheld connectivity, but Sony finally made it useful. According to PC World, Sony demonstrated the new technology at CES that will make it possible for owners to copy a Blu-Ray movie to their PSP.

In an update coming later this year, PS3 owners will be able to automatically make a lower quality version of any High Def Blu-Ray movie in their library and save it to PSP or Memory stick.

This is sweet because the PSP has been notoriously tedious to encode for and you won't have to buy any more UMD's. Not only that, but watching movies on the PSP via memory stick increases battery life compared to watching them via UMD.

While Sony might have been all excited about Skype on a PSP, TheFeed is ready to rock some portable Blade Runner and 300.

No word on exactly when the update will be available.

PC World: Sony Demos Copying from Blu-Ray Disc

Andrew Podolsky, an apparent svengali of stationary, created a pretty sweet paper model replica of the Pelican dropship from Halo.

TheFeed doesn't have a lot of skills when it comes to making anything but annoying cat macros, so this is pretty impressive.

Podolsky also earns bonus points for an Shadowcat replica in the background too.

Dubai, known for it's extravagant real estate properties and oil money, has officially made themselves the coolest Emirate of all seven of the United Arab Emirates by deciding to build a real life Jurassic Park.

The Park, named "Restless Planet" will have Dinosaur animatronics designed by Tokyo-based (natch!) team Kokoro and will be housed in a 75 meter dome.

Their website boasts it to be "the world's ultimate theme ride back into the mists of time."

From the information provided, there seems to be plans for a monorail that would take you through the Jurassic Jungle. TheFeed just hopes it isn't as lame as the Jaws shark on the Universal Studios Tour.  Which tourists still scream at every time, seriously, come on people!  Who didn't see that coming two tram cars ahead?
