Grand Theft Auto 5

Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA5) is on pace to sell 14 million units at launch according to Stern Agee's analyst Arvind Bhatia. Bhatia released a note to investors, saying he expects the game to come in the first three months of 2013, and that it will bring in around $700 million in revenue for Take-Two.

Bhatia said that it, "is all but a given" that Rockstar will launch GTA 5 before March of next year, given that the company doesn't have any other games coming out this year. To compare, Grand Theft Auto 4 came out in Aprill 2008 and shipped 13 million copies before the end of March 2009. It has since gone on to sell almost 20 million.

Darksiders 2

Darksiders 2 follows the story of Death as he tries to avenge his brother War from Darksiders. The game's vibrant, its setting is immersive, its monster's are huge, and we've got a preview of the game to explain how it all works.

"Death’s dual scythes are his primary mode of attack, and they slice and dice with ease. Since it was the beginning of the game, I didn’t get to see any of the upgraded or alternate versions, so I can only imagine the damage the later types will do. To mix things up, I pounded a few fools with a massive hammer capable of knocking back swarms of enemies or making one dude’s day a living hell. Between the various combo and weapon options, it looks like players will have plenty of ways to experiment and customize their play styles."

We had a lot of time with Darksiders 2, so make sure to check out the rest of our in-depth Darksiders 2 hands-on impressions to learn even more about this upcoming action adventure game.

Harry Potter For Kinect Coming This Fall From Warner Bros.

Harry Potter For Kinect has been announced exclusively for the Xbox 360 by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The magical game will be based on all eight Potter films, and players will get to join staple characters like Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they go on adventures throughout Hogwarts and beyond.

The best part? Young Wizards and Witches will be able to use Kinect's scanning tech to create their own character to go on the journey with. They'll also be able to, "cast spells using physical maneuvers and by calling out spell names, offering an extraordinary, immersive Harry Potter experience," said WBIE.

"Harry Potter for Kinect will engage Harry Potter fans old and new by bringing them into the wizarding world as truly active participants," said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Kids and parents will enjoy recreating their favorite Harry Potter adventures, from flying a broomstick in a Quidditch match, to battling pixies and dueling other wizards. "

Harry Potter For Kinect will be out in Fall 2012 and I'll be the first in line to get sorted. Personally I think I belong in the Hufflepuff house. Are you excited for Harry Potter For Kinect?

The Last of Us

The Last of Us is Sony's apocalyptic PlayStation 3 exclusive title and we finally got the chance to demo the gorgeous game. It plays like Naughty Dog's other cinematic adventure series, Uncharted, and that's not exactly a bad thing.

"During the demo we saw, Joel only has a few bullets at his disposal, so he must pick his shots wisely or use stealth to take 'em out. He's outnumbered but not alone. Every so often, Ellie intervenes; in one instance, throwing a brick at an attacker to put him off-guard so that Joel can deal with him. It's not clear how much of that is scripted behavior or Ellie's AI reacting to the situation. After sneaking out of the store and across the street, the two watch as the hunters patrol the area, calling out to one another about their progress."

Mario Tennis Open

Mario Tennis Open finally brings the sports series to the Nintendo 3DS so we hit the court to bring you our review. The game offers some neat innovations to the franchise, like the gyroscope integration, but ultimately the overall package was too lightweight for us.

"Mario Tennis has appeared in a number of incarnations across several platforms over the years, and the version on display here feels less like a tennis game designed around the eccentricities of the Mario universe, and more like a common arcade-style tennis title – one that happens to feature familiar Mario faces and locations. While that simpler approach robs the game of some expected personality, Mario Tennis Open remains a very solid and approachable on-court affair, which puts the onus on taking advantage of chance shots to overcome opponents."

Minecraft Sells 500K Copies, Now Has 1.6 Million Users

Our own crafter of mines Stephen Johnson loved Minecraft for PC, so we threw him back in to the blocky world on the Xbox 360 to see how the title played on a console. According to Steve, the revolutionary open-world gameplay is still as addictive as ever, but it just can't live up to the PC version of the game.

"The basics of Minecraft are represented well on the 360. The low-tech-looking sandbox gameplay is in place, as is the self-directed search for survival and material goods. You punch trees, collect ingredients from a blocky, 3D world, craft increasingly complex tools, delve deep into endless, dangerous caverns, and create a space that’s safe from the inexplicably terrifying 8-Bit skeletons, spiders, zombies and creepers that spawn at night. Once you’ve got basic survival locked (a huge accomplishment), you can move on to creating a beautiful home, a 1-to-1 scale re-creation of The Defiant from Deep Space Nine or anything else you can imagine…"
