In action, Aveline moves fluidly up and across buildings, and unleashes carefully choreographed attacks capable of killing multiple enemies with just a few simple button taps. Performing these vicious takedowns is made even easier thanks to the new “mark and execute-ish”, multi-kill feature which lets you freeze the action and tap on up to four enemies in the heat of battle and automatically dispose of them in worry-free, cinematic fashion). The combat never really reaches the point where you feel like you need this kind of assistance, but it’s quite a sight if you remember to use it.

Actor Tom Hardy (Batman: The Dark Knight Rises) has signed on to star as Sam Fisher in the film adaptation of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. Eric Warren Singer (The International) is writing the film, which has yet to start production. Currently, Ubisoft is in talks with Warner Bros. and Paramount to get the film on the big screen but neither has agreed to sign on yet.

"Tom Hardy is currently one of the biggest talents in the film industry, and he has a phenomenal ability to take on complex and varied roles with his broad range of acting skills," said Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures.

He continued, "His involvement in the 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell' movie is exciting news for movie and video game fans alike. Meanwhile, Eric Singer is one of the most talented writers of the moment, and ... we're confident he'll bring a fresh approach and create a thrilling story ... while still respecting all the codes and traditions of the franchise that are so important to fans."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is finally here and in the video below you can catch the first 15 minutes of the highly anticipated first-person shooter. The game opens with a rather emotional scene featuring antagonist Raul Menendez followed by an epic gameplay sequence in Angola with hundreds of soldiers. MIT Game Lab researchers have been developing an open-source game called A Slower Speed of Light that simulates the relativistic effects of slowing down the speed of light. The first-person game has players navigate through a 3D space filled with orbs that reduce the speed of light in increments if you pick them up. It's a bit complicated, so I'll let the MIT researchers explain:

"Visual effects of special relativity gradually become apparent to the player, increasing the challenge of gameplay," said MIT Game Lab. "These effects, rendered in realtime to vertex accuracy, include the Doppler effect (red- and blue-shifting of visible light, and the shifting of infrared and ultraviolet light into the visible spectrum); the searchlight effect (increased brightness in the direction of travel); time dilation (differences in the perceived passage of time from the player and the outside world); Lorentz transformation (warping of space at near-light speeds); and the runtime effect (the ability to see objects as they were in the past, due to the travel time of light).

In the video below, Blair Herter attempts to make his way through the zombie infested obstacle course, full of flesh-eating (they really just take your flag) undead. He breaks down important tips to follow while running from hordes of zombies, like staying hydrated and using your friends to your advantage, but you'll have to watch the clip to see if he actually made it to the finish line.
