It was inevitable. We all expected it--well most. A new Zelda title is in the midst and despite the controversy--it seems to be yet another promising release in the long existence and popular series.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has been the talk of the town--from the rather embarrassing game demonstration Nintendo gave at their E3 2010 press conference, to the graphics that pay homage to both a mixture of Twilight Princess's realistic features and The Wind Waker's cartoon models.

Regardless of the dismay, the line wrapped around the Nintendo booth as gamers eagerly waited to play the game with over 20 stations dedicated to the demo. At the end of the day, Nintendo never disappoints with Zelda titles, so we all have to sit back, relax, and wait for the updated information for Hyrule.

Gears of War 3 has been on the forefront of Microsoft's reveals this year at E3 2010, and they are ready to release the third installment in the series next Spring. Can gamers wait that long?

The Gears of War series is an award winning, bestselling sci-fi franchise, owned and created by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The two previously released titles take place on the fictional planet Sera--focusing on a war between humans and creatures known as Locust. Sounds like a rough situation to me.

The second title of the series released for PSP, again developed by Ready at Dawn, God of War: Ghost of Sparta is set between the events of God of War and God of War II. This installment continues the hacking and slaying found in God of War: Chains of Olympus, as you fight your way through with new weapons and magical powers. Hmm, magical powers, who wouldn't want those?

As we watched the visually appealing showcase of the title at Sony's E3 2010 press conference--there is no doubt this release is very promising. Kratos will journey to eliminate his nightmares and answer questions he's dying to know including info about his past, his family, that scar of his, and how he received the nickname: Ghost of Sparta.
