The Xbox 360 version of Rockstar's Bully: Scholarship Edition is having some serious freezing and frame rate issues and Rockstar is swearing up and down that they didn't find any such problems in their testing of the game. Sam Houser of Rockstar said today that the affected consoles appear to be older 360s.

There's no replacement or patch plan in place at the moment, but we can't blame them. It only came up today. There's a really obvious bullying joke in here somewhere but, it's just too early in the day to mock things. Consider this a freebie, Rockstar.

Would-be Enclyclopedia Browns take note: McDonald's has teamed up with the Olympics to bring us the newest and maybe most mainstream ARG to date.

It all started when they sent a package to a few dedicated gamers with cryptic props and clues urging them to go to web sites and find more clues, clues that seem to relate to the Olympics and a deeper mystery involving at least six mysterious amnesia victims who keep blogs, have youtube accounts and otherwise seem to actually exist.

Okay, it's a little corporate, what with the seeming McDonald's sponsorship, but so far, the game has been garnering big interest among ARG fans. Check out the wiki, the  board for the game, one of the official sites and the lolcatversion.

Just writing this article makes me want a McGriddle. Oh, nevermind, it's after 10:30. NO BREAKFAST AFTER 10:30!!!!!!!

'Kiss 4K' is Going Online

Posted March 5, 2008 - By Ty Colfax

Issue 7 of the rock superhero odyssey known as Kiss 4K is only going to be an online adventure. Sales of the print books have been good, but some comic book dudes are quick to caution that it doesn't signal the end or decline of the comic; yet it shows Gene Simmons' continuing commitment to being on the forefront of technology when it comes to entertainment. What's likely to happen is we'll see a graphic novel compilation coming out once more issues have been released online.

blabbermouth.net says "Kiss 4K is the story of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and other bandmembers' transformation from rock stars to world-protecting warrior spirits," so if you haven't checked it out you should probably pick it up. It's likely to melt your face with rock, in a good way.

If you live in Australia and want to buy Guitar Hero III for your Wii, you'll very soon be able to buy a pack with the game and 2 guitars. That's right, Activision has decided to start doing a 2-guitar bundle for the first time. There is no word among the internets if this will spread to other consoles and other countries, but you gotta think that if they're doing it elsewhere, it means they're gearing up to make it happen in the U.S.

Goodbye, axe shortage, we hope. Cross them fingers.

'Okami' Delayed

Posted March 4, 2008 - By Ty Colfax

Your wolf whispering desires are going to have to wait 3 extra weeks. The original March 25 release date for Okami's Wii port has been pushed to April 15. No reason for the delay has been given.

The PS2 version, while not a huge box office success, did great with critics and we're curious to see how the port over to the Wii will pan out.

Scrabulous Battle Forges On

Posted March 4, 2008 - By Ty Colfax

Scrabulous, which many users of Facebook have come to know as "what I do when I'm at work," has an uncertain fate as its developers battle with the makers of the board game Scrabble over copyright issues.

Both parties are contending that a peaceful resolution will be worked out and of course, it's all about the benjamins as to what will happen. TheFeed Official Legal Prediction™ is that Scrabulous will be bought by Hasbro, the name changed to Scrabble Online and everything will be just dandy. The question is, how many benjamins? The bros. Agarwalla who created the game are reportedly asking for somewhere over $10 million, but industry experts are saying it ain't worth that much.

Scrabulous has more than 700,000 daily players and nearly 3 million registered users.

2K Sports, the sports publishing label of Take-Two Interactive, announced a partnership today with renowned and influential music outlet Pitchfork Media in support of Major League Baseball 2K8.

Apparently the Pitchfork people are huge fans of baseball and videogames, so this was a natural partnership. What this means for gamers is that the music selected for MLB 2K8 will be coming from a place that hopefully puts quality over name recognition, as Pitchfork is plugged into the indie scene. Below the cut you'll find the list of songs with Pitchfork selected tunes getting a PF.

Rumor: 'Tron 3-D' in 2011

Posted March 3, 2008 - By Ty Colfax

It's just a rumor but you know that don't stop us. A Tron sequel is reportedly in the works for a Spring 2011 release and it will be in 3-D. It's going to be produced by Disney and directed by Joseph Kosinski, who has done many a fine commercial including ones for Gears of War and Halo 3. He only has one other credit from imdb for a 2010 release of a Logan's Run remake. So, while he's relatively unknown, they seemed to have picked someone who knows their sci-fi.

Disney is hoping to have a big, sequelriffic 2011 with Cars 2, Pirates of the Carribean 4, Tron 3-D, and perhaps the stupidest sequel of all time, National Treasure 3.

If you'll recall, we did a story about a Spaced remake in the Fall that was annoying Simon Pegg and the show's U.K. director Edgar Wright, who were not consulted on a new FOX remake that was in development. Read it here if you like.

Well, FOX has now ordered the pilot and at least the first episode will get made. Nothing illegal has been doneas FOX owns the US rights, but to not approach them about it seems odd. Only time will tell how badly this latest US ripoff of a British series will pan out.

Rockstar told videogamer.com that Grand Theft Auto IV will take 100 hours to play all the way through. "If you're not in a rush and you answer the phone when it rings it'll take about 100 hours to complete", they were told. "It's harder to distinguish between main and side missions - there are loads of both. But there are more main missions than side missions. It's not as clear cut as it used to be because of the phone."

We love this, not only because we were always kind of annoyed at how linear GTAs have been, but because it means there are tons of extras and little side plots that you can choose to follow or ignore.

The GTA IV release date has not been pushed back again yet. It's currently April 29, 2008 and stands a good chance of staying there.

PlayStation Store Updated

Posted February 29, 2008 - By Ty Colfax

This just in, the PlayStation Store has been updated. OK, it was yesterday, but whatever.

- You can now get a new PAIN character named Scurv Dogg, a pirate who hates everything.

- Rock Band NIN pack with "March of the Pigs," "The Collector," and "The Perfect Drug."

- GH III No Doubt pack with Don’t Speak,” “Excuse Me Mr,” and “Sunday Morning.”
Wow, Rock Band wins this week.

- Replacement tracks for songs you have previously downloaded that now have newer versions.

- Some free trailers and extras from games like Lost Planet, NBA 08, Condemned 2 and a free teaser for the Star Trek movie, which by the way is over a year away from coming out.

Don't fret, you can sign a petition to get Teen Titans: The Judas Contract back into production. The animated straight-to-video title was to be the 3rd in a series of Teen Titan flix but Warner Bros. has decided to do a Batman and Wonder Woman film instead, putting TT:TJC on hold indefinitely.

But there is hope for all you screaming Teen Titan fans. You can send an email to Warner Bros. demanding, or maybe asking would be better, that they go ahead and make the next Teen Titans movie. If they get enough support, which we're guessing would need to be pretty substantial, they'll go for it.

Until then, more Batman and Superman as a woman stories are headed to your DVD player or bit torrent depending on how illegal you roll.
