The collaboration track between U2 and Green Day, a cover of the Skids' "The Saints Are Coming," is not only being recorded at the Beatles' legendary Abbey Road Studios as a single to benefit Music Rising, and making its debut during a live pre-game concert at the opening Louisiana Superdome when the New Orleans Saints play the Atlanta Falcons on Monday, but now the two bands have recreated the Abbey Road cover as the artwork for that very single!

Geeeez, who do you guys think you are? The Beatles or something?

A concert by Dipset rapper Jim Jones ended in violence early this morning (Sept. 22) when a shoot-out erupted after his performance at the Miami Restaurant and Lounge in Virginia Beach. One person died and three others were injured.

Witnesses say multiple shots were fired around 2 a.m. One male victim was taken away in an ambulance after the club was placed locked down by local police.

Bald-headed, headbangin' early ?90s rap group Onyx are being rebirth as Yung Onyx. The new version of the group features rowdy teenage rappers instead of the founding members (who are now in their 30s...ancient in rap years) yet keeps the brand name.

"There's no more groups in the game now who bring that raw street s**t," original member Fredro Starr told Allhiphop.com of the young rappers, one of which is the son of Onyx's Big Kie. "They don't rap about jewelry and cars...they rap about the block."

The group is being launched by Starr, who sees them as sharing the "same rough edge, [but] with their own contemporary spin." Yung Onyx features MCs Khaos, 18, Khaos' cousin Skitso, 19, M.I., 16, and R&B singer Primo Starr, 19.

Wait...an R&B singer??The Onyx didn't have no R&B singer! They screamed their hooks like guys who were about to burn your friggin' house down!!!

Aerosmith have yet another great hits collection on the way, this one titled Devil's Got a New Disguise.

The compilation is really just a "pared down" single-disc version of 2002's double-disc set O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits, which featured single mixes of 14 hits from the band's Columbia and Geffen catalogue. But it does?feature two new songs,"Sedona Sunrise," and the title track.

Devil's Got a New Disguise is due out on October 17 via Columbia. The band is currently on the road with Motley Crue on the Route of All Evil tour.

Hmmmm...

I love old Aerosmith, but I sure couldn't care less about this. They seem to care more about milking those old songs more than they do about writing any decent new ones these days, huh?

Snoop Dogg's upcoming album, The Blue Carpet Treatment, is set to feature collaborations with the likes of R. Kelly, Stevie Wonder, Nate Dogg, Ne-Yo, The Game and Ice Cube, and production from heavyweights Neptunes, Timbaland and Rick Rock. But the pairing that has everyone the most excited is the Snooper's reunion with longtime mentor Dr. Dre, who discovered Snoop in the early ?90s and produced his landmark album Doggystyle.

A Blue Carpet song called "Imagine" finds the two icons rapping about hypothetical situations like life without hiphop, and what if Tupac never got killed. The song is the duo's first joint together in about five years.

Lotus will be introducing three new cars over the next half decade: the new Esprit will be out by December 2009, a Lotus/Proton high-performance car is due in December, and a a new midrange machine whose details have yet to be announced.

According to Autoblog.com, "Lotus gives no details as to what markets will receive the new cars, saying only that all three of the upcoming vehicles will be sold through the Lotus dealer network and are intended to broaden the automaker's customer base." And since Europeans can currently only score themselves a Lotus Elise, Exige, or Europa S (North America don't get no Europa), these new cars will indeed accomplish that.

Rapper-turned-TV-and-movie-star Redman will co-host the 6th annual High Times Stony Awards in New York.

To be held on October 24 at B.B. King's, Redman will MC the marijuana-themed happening alongside comedian Doug Benson. Redman, who has won a Stony Award in the past, will also perform a live set.

The event honors the year's biggest friendly movies and TV shows. Awards are given out in twenty-one categories, including Best Pot Scene in a movie, Best Reality TV series and Stoner of the Year.

Former publishers of "hip hop bible" The Source Magazine, David Mays and Ray "Benzino" Scott (right), have announced their new effort will be called Hip Hop Weekly, and not The Truth, as previously announced.

Hip Hop Weekly will hit newsstands on nationwide on Oct. 16 and will be, you guessed it, a weekly publication. Go figure.

The new magazine finds Mays and Scott getting back into the publishing arena after being thrown out of The Source by corporate board members in January 2006. Why? Well, allegedly because they were jerks, everyone hated them, and Benzino used the mag to push his fledgling rap career.

How much did they hate Benzino over at The Source? So much so that the issue after he got axed features a banner on the cover that read, "100% Benzino? Free"! LOL.

Guitarist Brian "Head" Welch recently confirmed that the posting on his website that said he was back in Korn was made by a hacker.

A message was posted on Welch's Head to Christ website on Thursday, Sept. 14 read, "I've been speaking with Jon and Munk about us and the split. And finally I can say that I'm taking the right side of the stage again for our next Korn tour and album. I'm so excited!"

Korn frontman Jonathan David immediately lashed out via the official Korn message boards, stating "It's bullsh*t. Not real. False, incorrect, deceitful, not real. Head is NOT coming back to Korn. Repeat, Head is not back in Korn."

Outkast member Andre "3000" Benjamin's new cartoon series, Class of 3000, is scheduled to premier in November on the Cartoon Network.

The show centers around the character Sunny Bridges, a pop star who becomes a? music teacher at the Westley School for the Performing Arts in Atlanta after leaving behind a career that included 27 Grammys and a Nobel Prize. As a teacher he changes the lives of his musical prot?g? students Lil' D, Tamika, Philly Phil, Madison, Eddie, and twins Kim and Kam.

Each episode of Class of 3000 will feature a new original song recorded by Benjamin, complete with an animated music video. Guest video producers include Parliament album cover artist Overton Loyd, Peter Chung (Aeon Flux), Alan Bodner (Iron Giant) and others.

Adressing the rumors that have been a-flyin', '80 new wave legends Duran Duran confirmed on their MySpace site that they have indeed been in discussions with Justin Timberlake about some sort of musical collaboration.

Gossip about a potential union started after the they struck up a friendship at the Brit Awards in 2004, when Justin presented the group with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

"[We] have all expressed an interest in working together," Duran Duran's MySpace post reads. "To that end, some of the band members met up with Justin recently in New York to discuss a possible collaboration."
