New 'Castlevania Judgment' Screens Illuminate Trevor Belmont, Carmilla and Golem
Posted By: Jeffrey Kanjanapangka - Tuesday, October 28, 2008 11:26 AM

Konami delivers unto us the latest screens for their Wii fighting game Castlevania Judgment.  This batch illustrates:

- Trevor Belmont, the first vampire hunter to destroy Dracula.

- The voluptuous female vampire Carmilla, who worships Dracula.

- and Golem, "an artificial human being created by Carmilla. Perhaps due to a mutation, he awakens to self-awareness. He seeks the meaning of being alive."

...and yes we too think these three would make a great sitcom. Castlevania Judgment ships to the Nintendo Wii November 18th.

You can hunt for gems in a timed challenge, or test your abilities in a race against the clock. The Incredible Maze is also compatible with the Wii Balance Board, so you can really put your weight into it. This is the way in, but you'll have to find your own way out.

Microsoft: Xbox 360 Can Handle 'MGS 4'
Posted By: John Manalang - Thursday, October 16, 2008 8:12 AM

According to an interview with MCV, Microsoft's VP of Xbox Live services John Schappert believes the Xbox 360 console is capable of running Hideo Kojima's masterpiece Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Schappert said he would “love to see the game come to 360" after speaking his praise for Old Snake's latest mission.

“I can’t speak on behalf of Konami, but I can shed more light on the fact that we definitely have the power to run MGS4," said Schappert. He said that there are "recent examples" of "true high-def" titles currently on the Xbox 360 that can't be found on the Playstation 3. Currently, Metal Gear Solid 4 and its online counterpart, Metal Gear Online, are only available for Sony's home console.

Before Schappert's interview, game producer Hideo Kojima said it would be a "difficult" task to recreate MGS4 for the 360 due to title's current Blu-Ray support. "Technology-wise, the 360 is very different to the PS3, and because MGS4 was optimized for the PS3 it is probably not possible," said Kojima in a previous report.

New 'Castlevania' Revealed
Posted By: John Manalang - Thursday, October 09, 2008 11:14 AM

Even to the great producer Iga's surprise, Konami revealed a new Castlevania title through a 10 second teaser trailer at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

First unveiled by ITMedia, the new title is set to hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The release date is still too far ahead to guess, according to Castlevania producer Iga. The trailer shows an unnamed man wielding a glowing red sword, and unfortunately, no further details were given.

Considering the rather lackluster response from the previous 3D Castlevania home console titles, Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness, we still have high hopes for this upcoming entry. And besides, doesn't the character look like Alucard from the classic PSone title, Symphony of the Night? We could only hope even more...
