2. Promotional Period: Win a Date With Laura Contest (the Contest) commences at 7:00 p.m. (EST) on March 1, 2004 and ends at 5:00 p.m. (EST) on March 29, 2004. All entries (Entries) must be received by 5:00 p.m. (EST) on March 29, 2004.

3. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to enter this contest, you must meet all of the following criteria, you must be 1) a legal resident of the continental United States 2) at least 18 years old at the time of entry and 3) available to travel to San Francisco and spend three weekdays in May or June of 2004 to attend the date with Laura and appear on Unscrewed. The exact date will be determined by TechTV at its discretion.

4. Proof of age and legal U.S. residency will be required at the time of acceptance of prize. You MAY NOT enter this contest if you are or a member of your family or household is an employee of TechTV. The following promotion is intended for play within the continental United States only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to U.S. law. Do not participate in this promotion if you are not located within the continental U.S. at the time of entry. This promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law. This promotion is void in Puerto Rico. U.S. law governs the promotion. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply as well.

5. TO ENTER: Log on to techtv.com/unscrewed for details and an entry application. To be eligible to win, you must submit a video telling Laura Swisher why she should pick you. The video may be no more than two minutes in length and must be in one of the following formats: VHS, Beta, DV, Mini DV, or Hi-8.

Follow the instructions to download and print the application form (the Application), which will ask for your name, date of birth, address, and email address. Your Application must also include the phone number(s) where you can be reached. A complete Entry will consist of a completed Application accompanied by a video. Your Entry must be written in English and typed or printed legibly. All Entries become the property of TechTV and will not be returned to the entrant.

TechTV is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with this Contest or by any human error that may occur in the processing of entries to this Contest. TechTV is not responsible for lost, late, delayed, damaged, illegible or misdirected entries or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software or other technical malfunctions or disturbances or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt of entries or entrants' ability to participate in this Contest. If you would like confirmation that your Submission has been received, please check the "submission confirmation requested" box on the Application. You will receive confirmation from a TechTV staff member via email. Otherwise, applicants may only be contacted if selected as Finalists (defined below). Completed submissions which are created and received within the above-mentioned guidelines will be considered eligible entries and will be considered in the judging process stated below. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to accept the decisions of TechTV, which will be final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.

5. JUDGING:
Laura Swisher (the "Judge") will select one (1) Entry from the entire pool of Eligible Entries received on or before 5:00 p.m. (EST) on March 29, 2004 based on the following criteria: originality, creativity, composition, execution and animal instinct. The Judge's determinations will be final and binding. TechTV will administrate and supervise the promotion. Winner will be notified via email and/or by telephone on or about April 12, 2004. The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on Unscrewed on April 12, 2004. Winner must be available to travel to San Francisco, California, to attend the date with Laura and appear on Unscrewed as stated above in Section 3, or the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Prize winner will be selected.

6. PRIZE: Winner may not substitute or transfer prizes. All taxes, fees and/or costs incurred in winning or to claim the prize and any other expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of the winner. Grand Prize: One (1) trip to San Francisco consisting of round-trip airfare for one person to San Francisco, California to attend the date with Laura and appear on Unscrewed as stated in the rules Section 3. Prize includes round-trip coach class airfare, 2 nights hotel accommodations, ground transportation to and from the airport in San Francisco and $100 spending money. Airline carriers regulations and conditions apply. Total approximate retail value of Grand Prize is $3,000. The ARV will vary depending upon the point of departure, destination and fare fluctuation. WINNER MUST BE AVAILABLE ON THE DATE SET FORTH ABOVE. NO SUBSTITUTION OF PRIZES OR ALTERNATE DATES AVAILABLE. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel route in its sole discretion. The round-trip coach air transportation element of the prize begins and ends at a major commercial airport near winner's residence in the contiguous U.S. All other expenses and incidentals not specifically mentioned as being included are excluded and are winner's sole responsibility, including, but not limited to, taxes, air transfers, government fees, ground transportation, meals, gratuities, hotel incidentals, and telephone calls. Travel restrictions, limitations and conditions may apply. Winner must have all documents necessary for travel. No substitution, assignment or transfer of prizes permitted, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value. Other restrictions may apply. A 1099 will be issued to the winner and winner is responsible for all taxes associated with the acceptance of this prize.

GENERAL: Winner will be required to sign and return Affidavits of Eligibility and Release within five (5) business days of the date printed on notification or he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Participants waive the right to assert as a cost of winning a prize any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem said prize, and any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize and any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize.

CONDITIONS: Each entrant by entering this contest agrees that: (1) entrant will be bound by these rules and all the decisions of the judges and the Sponsor; (2) entrant irrevocably assigns and transfers to Sponsor and its assigns all rights in the Entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights; (3) the Entry will not be returned; (4) entrant grants to the Sponsor and its assigns the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify the Entry in any way and in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration or acknowledgment to the entrant; (5) winner and finalists grants to the Sponsor and its assigns the unconditional right to use their name, address (city and state only), voice, likeness, photograph, prize information and/or statements about the promotion for any publicity, advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law; (6) none of the Entities, nor any of their officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives are responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from contest participation or the awarding, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize, participation in any prize related activity or from computer downloading any contest information; (7) the prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose); (8) in the event this Contest becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, such that it cannot be conducted as originally planned, the Sponsor has the right to cancel, terminate or suspend it, and in such event, to select winners from among all eligible Entries received up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension; (9) Sponsor and the judges have the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any Entry that is illegal, contains any inappropriate material or that may infringe upon the rights of any third parties; (10) any portion of a prize not accepted by the winner will be forfeited; and, (11) Sponsor is not responsible for any inability of the winner to accept any prize for any reason.
