Knowing the most-requested pages, besides index.html (my start page), is helpful. It tells me what links attract visitors the most-- what draws them into my site. And it seems that humor and the road movie are the most popular. Statistics like this can stir you to action. My September log showed about two visits to the image library. So I decided to create a link to the photo album on my start page. That move was key to increasing traffic in October.

The links to three other sections of my site that are not getting much traffic are accessible only through Java applet buttons. My fear is that people have browsers that don't support Java or don't want to wait for the applets to load. I think I'll just remove the applets and make the links icons.
