Sirius Radio goes portable.

If you were one of the lucky few to get their hands on the new Delphi MyFi, the portable XM radio, you know how great it is because they are harder to get this Christmas than a Turbo Man doll (reference movie: Jingle All the Way). At the 2005 CES, XACT announced a portable unit for Sirius radio called the XACT ReGo.

Looking more like a portable gaming unit ala Sony PSP than a portable music device, the ReGo definitely scores high on the cool factor for looks.  Not scheduled for release until late summer, details were few so here are the essential bullets:

- Plays and records up to 4 hours of content (music and talk mix)
- Plays MP3 files back from integrated CF slot (supports up to 1 GB)
- Transfer via USB 2.0 to PC (no Mac support yet)

I will not get into any XM versus Sirius debates, but if the ReGo even approaches the sales success of the MyFi, this portable Sirius portable unit will be a big hit for back to school.
