Ask for a link from all the sites that are similar to yours, or otherwise have an interest in showcasing your site. To increase your chances of getting a link on such sites, do the following:
  1. Flatter the webmaster. Tell them how much you like their website and how you visit it regularly. To make it clear that you've actually visited the site, mention something specific you saw that you liked.
  2. Link to their site. Tell the webmaster that you've added a link to their site on your page, and that you'd love it if they'd include you on their site. Include the URL of the page that has their link.
  3. Create a link button. Offer a small graphic with a snippet of code that they can paste into their site. This makes it as easy as possible for them to include a reciprocal link to your site. For example:
