A look at some must-have kitchen appliances for gadget lovers.

Whether you can cook or just make great reservations, no tech lover's kitchen would be complete without an LCD-equipped appliance. The Oster 6710 In2itive blender with LCD screen may be just the thing for salsa, margaritas, or some fancy tech-themed guacamole. Tonight's "Tech Live" takes a look.

The In2itive blender includes more than 40 recipes, and it will walk you step-by-step through the creation process. Your fingers will do the walking across the touchpad, while you follow the instructions on the LCD screen that include what to put in and when, and then it does all the work. A setup like this seems ideal for making party drinks or whipping something up while doing other things. Only the Jetsons had it this good.

Oster's 6710 is your standard blender, boasting a 500-watt motor that promises "ice-crushing" power. Like most off-the-shelf button-driven blenders, it also boasts variable speeds and a multifunctional blade that can act as a food processor (your parsley will never know what hit it). The jar is made of a dishwasher-safe polycarbonate material that claims to be scratch resistant, stain proof, and unbreakable. Those are all great promises, which unfortunately can only be tested with time.

Pros: Forty recipes included, multifunctional blade.
Cons: Expensive, at $130.

Cool MiniTempFS

If you're tired of burning your finger while checking the temperature of your secret sauce, stop! We've found one of the coolest kitchen gadgets out there in the MiniTempFS. It's kind of like a gun laser pointer that measures the temperature of food -- or anything else for that matter.

It's accurate from about five feet away, so you can gauge the temperature of most everything in your kitchen without moving around too much. The MiniTempFS can handle whatever you're cooking; it measures everything from 25 below 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

We like the MiniTempFS because of its big display. It's not only incredibly useful, but fun to have around the kitchen.

Pros: Big display, cool gadget.
Cons: Expensive, from $170.
