We really liked the sound of MP3s blaring through our stereo system. We also liked being able to navigate our huge library of songs on a television screen. The software is not without problems (certain menus can hang and not go away), but it's much faster and easier on the eyes than the OpenGlobe software used in the Compaq iPaq device. The 40GB hard drive and the multiple video connections are also a bonus, but what makes the de100c a tempting purchase is the built-in Ethernet jack and CD burner. If you don't mind mildly overspending and if you don't have a PC, the de100c will seamlessly add convenience, content streamed by Real, and the power of MP3 to your living room.
