The Internet has created a new breed of young entrepreneurs.

Age/School: 15, freshman at St. John's Prep, Collegeville, Minnesota
Website address: bearpawweb.com

Started: Bear Paw Web Designs was launched in November 1996, when Kenny was just 12. The business didn't really start until a year after the launch and now Holtz can boast about 20 clients (25 percent nonprofits, 75 percent for-profits).

What got him started: "A neighbor taught me how to design a basic website, then I picked up other things on my own from the Web."

Early signs of ambition: As a toddler, Kenny would often go into his father's study, pick up the phone and "talk" or play with the pens and pencils.

Site's mission: To create a better Internet by providing Web-design services to small businesses and nonprofit organizations at an affordable cost.

Hours devoted: About 30 hours per week.

Most difficult challenge: "With my first few customers I had to prove that a teenager could manage a business website professionally."

Tips for other entrepreneurs: "Don't let anything hold you back."

Other interests: Kenny chat-hosts for the ZDTV.com website, keeps up with schoolwork, and heads for his family's cabin in Montana every summer, where he hikes and just "relaxes."
