Kraft Interactive Kitchen-- CLUNK

Guess what else? I also don't know much about cooking. Oh yes, my ignorance knows no bounds. Not helping in my cooking endeavor is Kraft Foods' Interactive Kitchen's personalized meal planner. Say that ten times fast.... Heck, say that once.

The personalized meal planner has all the elements of being a good Web utility, but it falls way short.

  • Problem number one-- It's slow.

  • Problem number two-- The forms are endless. Why do they need to know my yearly income? Can you say intrusive?

  • Problem number three-- No ecommerce. There's a shopping list, but there's no option to select food and have it delivered. Why not partner with an organization like Webvan? Kraft can offer the front end with personalization features (i.e. likes and dislikes, suggested meal plans), and then let Webvan handle the backend with ecommerce and delivery.

Dont discount the apathetic and the ignorant. We're all potential buyers of your products. Look at your business model and think to yourself, "What free features, enhancements can you put on your site that will make people want to buy more... or anything?"
