Alex Wellen is co-host, co-creator, senior producer, and managing editor for "CyberCrime," TechTV's news magazine program that provides a fast-paced inside look at the dangers facing technology users in the digital age. Since the network's inception, and now on "Tech Live" and "Silicon Spin," Wellen has provided legal analysis on high tech digital issues.

Prior to coming to TechTV, Wellen practiced intellectual property and antitrust litigation at Pennie & Edmonds LLP.

Wellen was born in the Bronx and grew up in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He graduated from Rutgers College of Engineering, where he studied industrial engineering, and received his law degree at Temple School of Law. He has interned with the US Attorney's Office Criminal Division and two federal court judges, served as an editor on law review, and testified before Congress.
