Part renegade, part comedian and 100% car-obsessed, Carlton “Big C” Lewis has been in the driver’s seat his entire life. As host of G4’s high-speed automotive series Street Fury, Lewis takes on the adrenaline-drenched world of import car racing and modification, flaunting the rides, shows, clubs and women that create the irresistible import car lifestyle.
Born in Pomona, CA, 25 year-old Carlton got behind the wheel for the first time at the age of two, jumpstarting his lifelong passion for cars. As a teenager he developed a fascination with Japanese pop culture while working at Urban Vision, a home video company that distributes anime titles. A few years later Carlton joined TOKYOPOP Inc., the world’s largest English-language publisher of manga and producer of Street Fury, where he became producer and host of the then-fledgling franchise. Improving on a winning concept, Carlton has infused into the series his larger-than-life personality and his own unique blend of humor and enthusiasm.
His role models include the venerable Russell Simmons, founder of Def Jam Records, and Technicolor VP Howard Kropf. Lewis has faith in the idea that good things come to people who are willing to “go for it” and aren’t afraid of doing the hard work. His three favorite things in life are “chicks,” “fast cars,” and “Jordans.”
