Street Fury SEMAIt was a whirlwind trip, folks. Last week I packed my bag and headed to that shimmering neon glitterdome that is Las Vegas to join Big C and the Street Fury crew for a few days of SEMA, the massive car show that storms Sin City every year. And, man oh man, am I beat! Those guys never stop! For what seemed like an endless cycle of 24-hour shifts I huffed and puffed along with Big C, producer Rick “Damage” Damigella, hottie Jenny Chu, and their gonzo camera crew as they hit the floor and interviewed just about every presenter, sponsor, celebrity and super vixen at the event. These days were followed by nights full of party-hopping. But they weren’t really partying so much as filming yet more content. More segments. More girls! More cars! More, more, more! Whew… These guys were relentless. I was quite impressed.

Street Fury SEMAFor those of you who don’t know (you should be ashamed of yourself!), the SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry's brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. It attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders in the automotive, truck and SUV, marine and RV markets from over 100 countries. The displays are segmented into 11 sections, and a New Products Showcase features more than 1,100 newly introduced parts, tools and components. To give you an idea of the sheer size of it all, SEMA 2004 drew over 50,000 domestic and international buyers through two million square feet of exhibits. Now, that’s a lot of friggin’ cars!

Street Fury SEMAIt was also a lot of friggin' fun, lemme tell ya that. We saw cars from all the majors, Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Honda, Hyundai, V, etc. We interviewed Master P, Gary Sheffield, Coolio, Funk Master Flex, Mad Mike from PMR, Drifting Pretty’s Nadine Toyoda, DJ Rectangle Slim Thug, and many more. “I was quite impressed with the GTX-1, and a Concept Jetta by VW,” Big C told me.

Highlights included catching a hot street race down the strip put on by Yahoo Autos and Nopi, seeing David Lee Roth play a party at The Joint, Dub magazine’s poppin’ party featuring a rippin’ set by Busta Rhymes, hanging at the Austyn Moore-hosted porn star masquerade party at Sin with "Uncle" Steve Andersen of Moz Wheels, and the music video style SEMA wrap party at Big C’s favorite Club OPM in Cesars Palace that was packed wall to wall and went till 6 in tha mornin'!!!

Too much fun…too much fun…
