A few more pieces need to be cut, then it's time for paint.

22. Here I applied a coat of primer. It helps to have it all the same color so you can see where you need to do some sandings to smooth it out. Yoshi Rocket Man 001 - thumbnail
23. See how I carved out the bottom piece. I cut the whole piece out above the CD-ROM drive. I'll glue back the piece I still need. This makes it easier to cut out the drive slot. Yoshi Rocket Man 002 - thumbnail

24. Setting the piece above the CD-ROM drive. I used epoxy to glue it in place. Yoshi Rocket Man 004 - thumb
25. I used Bondo to fill surface holes, chips, etc. You can also see how I filled in the area where the piece was glued back in place above the CD-ROM drive. Yoshi Rocket Man 005 - thumb
26. Final coat of primer before top coat.
27. White paint applied. I did not paint the fins. I plan to paint them red.
28. Painting done. With the red, I used a freehand fade effect, partly because I am applied the final paint at 5 a.m. the morning of the segment. I have no time to wait for the white to dry, mask it off and paint the red.
