Copy your games to your Xbox hard drive for faster access.

I've been getting a lot of email the past few days about this week's Xbox mods. Most people want to know how to back up their games. On today's show, I'll show you the process.

Get ready to take notes. You might want to fire up your VCR or schedule your TiVo appropriately for later viewing in case you miss something. Backing up your games is a difficult, involved, detailed process. You need to have a program called XCommander installed on your Xbox. Here are the steps you need to follow.
  1. Launch XCommander and select the D drive. The D drive is your DVD-ROM drive. Select all the files and copy them to a directory on your F drive.
  2. Reboot your Xbox. Look under the Games menu. If you have Evolution X installed correctly, you'll see the game.

See, it's not that hard. It's pretty simple.

Note: Xbox mods aren't supported by Microsoft and may be illegal under the DMCA. If you mod your Xbox, you're willingly voiding the warranty and you might be breaking the law. If done improperly, modding can damage your Xbox.
