| Andy MacNamara, editor in chief of Game Informer Magazine, brought in his list of top games for the holidays – with one contentious pick. Although Halo 2 (“Easily one of the greatest games this year.”) and GTA: San Andreas (“Once again, another great game.”) predictably grabbed the top two slots, Andy has caused a stir among gamers with #3: Tony Hawk Underground 2 (“Hands down, this is the best THUG ever.”)
This did not sit well with Kevin P.: “Yes, it is the best Tony Hawk game. But there’s a box here,” he said, pointing out Half-Life 2. “I don’t know if you’ve seen this. It’s called Half-Life 2. You put a skateboard game ahead of HL2! What are you doing?” Andy patiently explained that he felt that THUG2 is a “gamer’s game,” requiring the mastery of complex moves, whereas he didn’t see himself replaying HL2. “It think it’s a better game, I really do.” Debate Game Informer’s judgment at the forums at gameinformer.com |

| ” The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) promotes cooperation among the Armed Services, Industry, Academia and various Government agencies in pursuit of improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues and development of multiservice programs.” It also lets people blast away in the most precious military training simulators yet devised. Brendan Moran played with several virtual reality devices from VirTra Systems, including an electronic belt that provided an electric shock intended to simulate getting shot by a gun. And it works! Brendan was immediately dropped by a virtual bullet to the hip and writhed in actual pain on the ground.
