Is your refrigerator running?

Refrigerator Art isn't just something that we found on some really cool kid's fridge--it's actually the brainchild of a brilliant screenwriter, animator and illustrator.

Michael Dougherty

Mike Dougherty, creator of Refrigerator ArtA multi-talented writer, director, and artist, Michael Dougherty recently co-wrote the screenplay for X-Men 2 with Dan Harris for Twentieth Century Fox. Directed by Bryan Singer, the critically-acclaimed sequel smashed box office records, grossing over 400 million worldwide.

Dougherty is currently working with Singer and Harris on penning the Ultimate X-Men comic books, a remake of Logan's Run, and the screenplay for the latest big-screen adventure of Superman.

Also an accomplished animator and illustrator, Dougherty's award-winning shorts have appeared on MTV, the Sci-Fi Channel, and the infamous "Spike & Mike Sick and Twisted Animation Festival," while his offbeat art is featured in a line of subversive greeting cards published by Nobleworks. Dougherty is a graduate of NYU's film program and currently lives in Los Angeles.
