The Hedgehog Loves the Current Controversy Over Video Game Sex

As the cavalcade of stars sauntered down the red carpet of G-Phoria 2005, we managed to scream questions at them. Here's what the star of Being Ron Jeremy had to say about the controversy over sex in video games:

Do you play video games?

A little bit, not a lot. I’m not a big fan of them, but I’ve played some. Being a former school teacher, I always say kids should read once in a while. I see kids playing these games night and day, and I think it’s not as good as reading a book. Ain’t that corny, coming from me?

Have you done any video game work?

I worked on Celebrity Death Match from Gotham Games—Tommy Lee was in it, Anna Nicole, N*SYNC, Carrot Top… celebrities and me. I also did a voiceover for Leisure Suit Larry.

What do you think about the controversy over sex and video games?

I love that! Let them get some of the heat for a change! They’ve been attacking our business for years, man, give us a break. We’re over 18, we clearly label ourselves—no labeling problem here. If you want to see it, see it. If you don’t, don’t. Our stuff is for adults. Kids are more impressionable before they’re 18 years of age, and maybe some things have an effect on them. Adult movies are dealing with college level. So take some of the damn heat, folks, I like that! Good—now you know what it’s like. I got arrested twice doing adult movies.
