As G-Phoria award winners can attest to, 2005 was a big year for video games. Yet 2006 is set to be even more exciting with Xbox 360 set to storm the scene, PS3 blowin’ up all over the place, and a slew of highly anticipated new games on the horizon. So we asked the stars on the G-Phoria red carpet which games they were most excited about, and found that these celebrities really know their games! Who-da thunk it?
Devon Werkheiser (Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide): Gears of War.
Ty Treadway (Soap Talk): I’m counting the days till Madden ’06. I’m psyched—all the new players, all the new teams, I’m really bumped up.
Evan Seinfeld (Biohazzard, OZ): I’m waiting for Grand Theft Auto and Madden for PSP. I take my PSP everywhere. In the office, in the meetings, on the set, on stage with the band!
Rob Pinkston (MTV’s Punk’d): I’m looking forward to Ghost Recon for the Xbox 360, the new King Kong game, and all the PlayStation 3 stuff.
Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back): I don’t really pay attention so much on what’s coming out. The Lord of the Rings 2 is coming out for PC, so I’ll be looking forward to that. But I don’t really keep up with what’s coming out on video games. I mean, when I go to a store, I’ll look around and see what’s out, but I’m not super-gamer and read magazines about what’s the new thing. I go to my friend’s house to play Xbox—I just started playing Halo, but I suck at it. It was fun, a good time, but I suck at it.
