Game Description:With a complete upgrade, this Major League Baseball title is back on the scene. Brand new motion captures add more realism and personality to player animations. Re-rendered environments and backgrounds push the envelope of sports title graphics and visual effects. 10 modes of play are possible including Career, Two-on-Two Showdown and a newly added Franchise mode. This title also features an improved pitcher-batter interface, a player editor, broadcast presentation and the voices of announcers Dave O'Brien and Chuck Valenches.

  • Hall of Fame)

    By choosing this selection in the options menu you can play a more realistic games (unlike the default difficulty). For instance, under this difficulty Barry Bonds will be walked at least once every game. In other words player trends will be consistent with their abilities in real life.

  • Fielding)

    As a new addition to this year's version of the game, 3DO has included fielding rankings for every position. Therefore you can be hurt by playing a player out of position.

  • Pitching)

    Mixing up pitches, locations, and paces are relatively important in this 3DO title.

  • Pitching)

    There are about 27 different throws you can make. Each pitcher has between 3-6 different pitches to choose from. You can change the direction of the throw by moving the directional pad in different directions. But remember its hard to tell where you are aiming because there isn't any on-screen cursors.

  • Tuning variables)

    The tuning menu gives you access to over 20 game variables ranging from runner speed to frequency of foul balls.

  • Xbox Live)

    You can download current MLB rosters for the Xbox version of this 3DO title, through an Xbox Live option. This option is not available on the PlayStation 2 or the Nintendo GameCube.
