Game Description:In feudal Japan, two warriors embark on a mission to defeat demons and rescue a kidnapped princess. One is a samurai, a master swordsman with the ability to increase his power by stealing the souls of his victims; the other is a deadly female ninja. The game switches automatically between characters throughout the story, depending on which protagonist fits each encounter. The action relies on swordplay and magic, although puzzle solving is also involved. A lush orchestral soundtrack and voiceover round out this period game of survival horror.

    After finishing the game in hard difficulty you will unlock Samanosuke's alternate costume.

  • Alternate Costumes

    Finish the game with an S rank by getting all of the Fluorites to unlock Kaede's alternate costume.

  • Difficult mode

    Finish the game with a time under three hours.

  • Speed trial mini-game

    Collect over 20 Fluorites (blue rocks) during game play. Complete and save the game. The Onimusha Spirits speed trial mini-game will be unlocked. After finishing the mini-game you will unlock the "Ultimate mode" option, which allows the game to be played with the Bishamon Sword, unlimited ammunition, 99 Soul Absorbers, and automatic magic...

  • Easy mode

    Start a game and die about five times in normal difficulty. After enough deaths, a message will appear, stating that a new easy mode is open. REMEMBER: You cannot achieve an S rank when playing in easy mode.

  • Ultimate mode

    Finish the game in hard difficulty with any rank except for S. Or finish the Onimusha Spirits mini-game.

  • X rank

    Finish the game in difficult mode without using the Bishamon Sword, get and wear the Ogre Armor, and collect all of the Fluorites.

  • Easy souls

    If you are low on health at the end of the game before facing the Boss go to the entrance of the keep for some battles. By now they should be easy -- just absorb the souls to raise your health

  • How to beat Marcellus

    At the end of the game you should have all weapons and orbs at the maximum. When fighting Marcellus again, kick him and use the Thunder Orb's magic. For some reason, this is stronger than his other attacks.
