Game Description:From the very tiniest forms of life to the intergalactic level of existence, you are in control of life itself in this simulation game by Will Wright. Beginning in the primordial ooze, players create a character from DNA that will grow, survive, and mate as it evolves from a single-celled organism to a fully-formed member of an establishing species. As more and more creatures inhabit the world, and as evolution forms the future, your species will join herds, clans, even civilizations. The more advanced the creatures of the planet grow, the more complex the strife of survival becomes. NOTE: This game has been unofficially confirmed as a project planned (or at least heavily, heavily, heavily considered across multiple platforms -- once the PC version is in full form, designer Will Wright will be looking into ways to bring the creation to other systems), but the publisher has not announced the game or committed to platforms. It may or may not be released on this system. Please check back for official details.

Lucy Bradshaw, Executive Producer with EA Maxis, took some time to speak with our crew about the highly anticipated life-simulator, Spore.

Spore is scheduled for release on September 7th of this year for PC and Apple computers.


Spore was also created by SimCity and Sims mastermind Will Wright, who has had more than a few interesting tidbit of trivia to share on The Will Wright Minute. Check them out if you fancy having your mind blown.
