Company Description: Eidos Interactive is a London, England based video game developer and publisher that has other offices in Europe and the USA. Eidos owns Crystal Dynamics, IO Interactive, and Pivotal Studios. Originally, Eidos was a company that focused on video compression technologies, but through the late 90’s Eidos began developing and publishing video games. The company faced some financial difficulties in the early 2000s, and in 2005 the company was purchased by SCi. In 2009, Eidos and its subsidiary studios were purchased by Square Enix. Eidos has developed the well known Hitman, Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain and Thief series.
