Company Description: Apogee was founded in 1994 as a video game developer in Garland, Texas. Eventually, a subsidiary of Apogee, 3D Realms split off and began making their own games. As Apogee, they developed Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem 2, as well as Wolfenstein 3-D. In 1996, Apogee was discontinued and shut down, while 3D Realms continued to develop video games. In 2008 Apogee was reestablished and began re-releasing classic Apogee games for the PC, PSP, and the DS.
