  • Spare Parts Review

    Posted: February 3, 2011

Spare Parts is cute, but derivative and unpolished. There are some neat powers and level design, but poor platforming, repetitive combat, and a wayward camera hinder the experience. It's not without its charms and can be enjoyable, but there's nothing in here that hasn't been done better before.

  • Two Worlds II Review

    Posted: February 3, 2011

Two Worlds II brings an innovative spell casting system, hours of RPG content and fun multiplayer modes to the genre. But you have to get through a confusing and incomplete tutorial, clunky combat and excessive dialogue sequences. It's a trade-off that may be worth it for what the game brings to console RPGs.

  • Killzone 3 Review

    Posted: February 3, 2011

    Average User Rating

Killzone 3's campaign suffers from the odd low point, but the fast pace of its excellent missions, outstanding online multiplayer, and an all-around better feel more than compensate for the missteps. This is a vast improvement over earlier franchise entries, and the superb multiplayer suite will keep us playing until the inevitable sequel.

  • Mindjack Review

Switch bodies and hack into other people's games in Mindjack, a third-person action game that hinges its success on a couple interesting ideas... and nothing else. This latest import from Square Enix desperately wants to be Gears of War with psychic powers but stays firmly in the last gen box of mediocre design.

SOE's DC Universe Online allows you to play for your favorite heroes and villains, earning their respect, their gear and even the ability to play as them in special PvP arenas. If you ever wanted to be Superman's protege, The Joker junior or Batman's back-up, this is the MMO for you.

Three years after battling the Necromorph invasion on board the U.S.S. Ishimura, Isaac Clarke again finds himself consumed by the horror he narrowly survived. New gear and gameplay refinements, plus an all-new multiplayer mode, help make Dead Space 2 an absolute nightmare?in all the best ways.

  • Create Review

EA Create is a bright and approachable puzzle game with lots of options for players to make their own custom levels. They'll also unlock the ability to redecorate every level in the game to give it a more personal touch. The gameplay, however, is rigidly confined to 2D and rarely involves more than getting some kind of vehicle through a hoop.

  • LittleBigPlanet 2 Review

    Posted: January 14, 2011

    Average User Rating

Media Molecule put itself on the map by unleashing one of the most imaginative and creative playgrounds gaming has ever seen when it released LittleBigPlanet back in 2008. While little has changed to the overall design or aesthetic, LittleBigPlanet 2 includes enough new tools, tweaks, and visual enhancements to wow and delight seasoned vets and...

  • The Sims 3 Review

The Sims 3 is the anticipated console port of 2009's remarkable life simulator. It's not an ideal way to experience the hypnotic joys of managing a Sims' lifetime, with menu-heavy controls and too many loading screens. Still, the core experience is wonderfully subtle and capable of creating its magic even within the limitations of the platform.

  • Kung Fu Live Review

    Posted: January 3, 2011

    Average User Rating

I really wanted to like Kung Fu Live. The PlayStation 3 downloadable EyeToy game has a lot going for it: The presentation is goofy-cool, a silly, comic book world perfect for a slight, gimmicky title, and the hook of the game is awesome. The problem, though, is that the Eyetoy camera control system doesn't work very well, and turns what could...

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is a breath of fresh air...if you consider fresh air to be a highly addictive revamp of an arcade classic which is so fun, you'll never want to leave your house or do anything besides eat ghosts again.

What it lacks in depth, Nail'd makes up for with fast-paced arcade-style gameplay that's ridiculous in the best sense of the word.

  • Marvel Pinball Review

    Posted: December 8, 2010 | 10 Comments

Marvel Pinball is a shot in the arm to the newly released Pinball FX 2 on the Xbox 360, providing four brand-new Marvel tables themed after Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, and Blade. Blade? Yes, Blade. On the PlayStation 3, you can get this entire title as a standalone game, since they don't have Pinball FX 2 on that platform, only Zen Pinball....

  • TRON: Evolution Review

TRON: Evolution is a great game trapped in the shell of bad gameplay design, and as a result only hardcore TRON fans and nostalgia seekers should apply. Or, you know, if you enjoy frustration and multiple deaths.
