  • Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Review

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is an exceptional game housed in an exceedingly generic shell. The parts that work well do so brilliantly, while those that don't only serve to make the game feel incomplete.

  • Sorcery Review

    Posted: 5 days ago

    Average User Rating 3 / 5

Initially expected to be an early PlayStation Move highlight, Sony's Sorcery is finally here, and the wand-waving adventure casts players as a young sorcerer's apprentice who must step up when his master goes missing. Despite solid spell-casting controls, the solo campaign lands with a thud due to simplistic mechanics and a lack of excitement.

  • Max Payne 3 Review

Max Payne 3 is an action lover's wet dream that also happens to employ some of the slickest direction and transitional trickery this side of a David Fincher box set. Lock and load. It's bullet time...time.

  • Starhawk Review

To have transformable jets in the follow-up game to Warhawk feels like a natural evolution for Sony's flight combat series. Starhawk's multiplayer showcases this with superb results, so it's that much more of a mystery that the same can't be said about its other modes.

A New Day is an exceptional start to a five-part series that has me completely hooked and engrossed in a world that I can't even begin to imagine, let alone speculate about where it will go next.

The deeper toolbox and more varied rogue's gallery are welcome additions, but the stronger story and improved sense of character that New York Zero has been imbued with are the big saving graces in Prototype 2.

  • Skullgirls Review

In a genre consistently flooded with sequels and rehashes, Skullgirls is definitely a breath of fresh air. Reverge Labs has listened closely to fans of the game as well as the fighting game community, and has been noticeably meticulous of the development of this game.

  • Ridge Racer: Unbounded Review

    Posted: April 12, 2012

    Average User Rating 3 / 5

Ridge Racer: Unbounded is a game that more fully embraces an arcade mentality without abandoning the core principles that keep fans coming back to Ridge Racer titles, but there are several issues that hold it back from being truly great.

  • Armored Core 5 Review

Armored Core V is what people have come to expect of mech-combat games: it's fun, pretty, and provides overall smooth gameplay; however it's nothing groundbreaking and is so impossibly confusing that only hardcore fans will truly enjoy it.

  • Blades of Time Review

    Posted: March 28, 2012 | 3 Comments

    Average User Rating 3 / 5

Blades of Time is a mediocre game, with an inventive combat system utilizing time manipulation. Dreadful writing and one of the most annoying protagonists in a dog's age dampen its charms, while the puzzles between combat show a dearth of creativity.

  • Yakuza: Dead Souls Review

    Posted: March 23, 2012

    Average User Rating 3 / 5

Yakuza: Dead Souls is not a good shooter, nor is it what people expect from a Yakuza game, yet taken on its own merits it's an extraordinarily quirky, delightful experiment with lots of humor and a distinctly Japanese flavor. Stiff controls and lengthy load times hold it back from being as good as it could have been, but it proves that there's...

  • Ninja Gaiden 3 Review

    Posted: March 22, 2012 | 37 Comments

    Average User Rating 4 / 5

Ninja Gaiden 3 starts out in a fantastic way, but loses its way quickly when it becomes apparent that combat hardly evolves. There are only a handful of enemy types and fewer weapons, exacerbating the repetition. The foundation for an amazing hack-and-slash is in Ninja Gaiden 3's soil, but it never fully blossoms into the epic it could have been.

Capcom treats us to another dramatic shift from traditional Resident Evil gameplay with Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Playing as Umbrella operatives killing zombies and soldiers alike, the game is a pretty solid zombie romp.
