Game Description:No one is innocent on the mean streets of LA in this combination action-shooting-driving game inspired by Hong Kong action flicks. You are Nick Kang, a hardened beat cop dismissed from the force for your unconventional methods. Your brutal reputation lands you as an operative in the Elite Operations Division, with a new mission to eradicate the Chinese and Russian crime syndicates that are terrorizing the city. You control the branching storyline and outcome with every move you make. Navigate over 250 square miles of realistically recreated Los Angeles as you improve your skills, search for clues, interrogate informants and take out heavily armed bad guys in 20 missions and 100 sub-missions.

    When trying to solve a serious crime (robbery, hostages, or anything with guns), simply run over your victim. Or if they are in a car run their car into a buiding and/or turn it sideways which will force the criminal out of the car.

  • HARD CRASHES

    While in car, pause the game and press down(3), x. at the city map screen. when you hit other cars they will - literally - go flying!. On the opposite end of things press up(3), x to have soft crashes.

  • Movie reference

    In the game, there is a sign that reads "True Crime: Streets Of L.A.: The Movie, Fall 2005".

  • Select car color

    When entering a name on a license plate, hold L1 + R1, and press Left Analog-stick Up or Left Analog-stick Down to change the color of the strip below the plate. The color you leave it on when you enter the name is the color of your car.
